How Device Fit Check uses sources, automation and human review when maintaining compatibility guidance.

Primary sources first

Published manufacturer specifications are the preferred source for dimensions and supported charging/connector technologies. Secondary sources are not treated as authoritative when a first-party page is available.

Automation and AI

Automated tools, including AI-assisted drafting or quality checks, may be used to help structure or review content. They are not treated as a factual source. Compatibility records should be tied back to cited manufacturer information and conservative editorial rules before publication.

Corrections

If a manufacturer changes a specification or an accessory maker confirms broader compatibility, the relevant record can be updated. Each supported phone shows a verification date so readers can judge freshness.

Advertising and commercial relationships

Advertising or affiliate links may be added in the future. If they are, commercial relationships should be disclosed clearly and must not change a compatibility verdict, source choice or correction decision. At launch, advertising and affiliate links are disabled.
